Cancellation Policy

Rental hours are flexible within the day unless otherwise specified. Outdoor Space Use An adjacent outdoor space may be used at no additional cost when available. Use of the outdoor space is not guaranteed and is subject to availability and weather conditions. Renters are responsible for setup, supervision, and cleanup of both indoor and outdoor areas during their rental period. Capacity Indoor occupancy is limited to a maximum of 15–20 people. Use of the outdoor space may allow for additional guests when used responsibly and in accordance with local guidelines. Food and Beverage Light food and beverages are permitted. Any food service is the renter’s responsibility. Permanent cooking equipment may not be installed inside the diner. All food-related areas must be cleaned before departure. If food or beverages are served to the public, the renter is responsible for obtaining any required permits or approvals. Alcohol Alcohol is permitted for private events only. Alcohol sales are not allowed without proper licensing. The renter is responsible for monitoring alcohol consumption and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. Setup, Decorations, and Equipment Temporary decorations are permitted. Nothing may be permanently attached to walls, floors, fixtures, or exterior surfaces. Nails, screws, and damaging adhesives are not allowed. Any equipment or furnishings brought into the space must be removed at the end of the rental period. Cleaning and Care The diner and any outdoor areas used must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. All trash, decorations, and personal items must be removed. If an additional day is reserved for cleanup, the space must be fully reset by the end of that day. Safety Open flames, including candles, are not permitted unless prior approval is granted. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the diner. Emergency exits must remain clear at all times. Noise Music and amplified sound are permitted at a respectful level. Renters are expected to be considerate of neighboring properties at all times. Damage and liability The renter is responsible for any damage to the diner, outdoor space, or surrounding property that occurs during the rental period. Any damage or concerns should be reported immediately. The Valentine Diner is a shared historic asset. Affordable rental pricing is made possible through mutual respect and care.
